Knuckle Boom/Grapple Operators

National Salvage & Service has openings for Knuckle Boom/Grapple Operators. To be considered you MUST have previous experience operating a knuckle boom, log loader, or grapple. DUTIES, TASKS, AND RESPONSIBILITIES * Picking up railroad ties, rail, or powerline poles using a rear mounted log loader boom * Loading trucks or rail cars in a fast-paced environment * Removing debris at sites using log loader boom while adhering to safety standards *Able to work long hours, overtime and possible weekend work in various weather conditions *Willing and able to work away from home for weeks at a time *Filling out daily paperwork and working independently Position-specific Competencies *Able to work long hours in all weather conditions * Travel for 4 weeks at a time, then home for one week *Hold valid driver’s license * Have had no felonies in the past 7 years * Must be able to lift 25 pounds * Follow all Safety Program, Policies and Procedures * Completely and accurately fill out daily paperwork * Able to learn the basic use of a smartphone *Basic mechanical knowledge in order to make small repairs (change hydraulic hose, grease and lube, safety walk around inspection) *Class A or B CDL preferred but not required * Able to pass pre-employment drug test and random drug tests after hiring National Salvage’s Core Competencies *Demonstrates National Salvage values * Driven for personal and company success * Delivers exemplary customer service internally and externally • Acts with integrity.
