AOL Capitol and Legislative Tour (Includes Complimentary Lunch)

Join us for an exclusive opportunity to engage directly with Oregon lawmakers and key decision-makers at our upcoming Capitol and Legislative Field Trip. AOL Board Members will connect with legislators, the Governor’s office, and coalition partners to discuss policies impacting our industry. This is your chance to share your expertise, hear from like-minded organizations, and get a closer look at the Capitol. Don’t miss this unique chance to advocate for Oregon’s forest operators and see policymaking in action!

Tentative schedule:

10:00am:  Meet at AOL office for information and carpooling

10:30am: Leave AOL office

11:00am: Floor Session – Go to Gallery for Viewing

11:30am: Visit with House/Senate Minority leaders in the caucus room

12:00pm: Head to State Library for Lunch and more meetings

1:00pm: Meet with the Governor’s Office in State Library Room

2:00pm: Meet with AOL’s NR and Business Lobby/Coalition Partners in State Library Room

3:00pm: Leave State Library and go back to AOL Office

3:30pm:  Arrive at AOL office

Purpose: Provide guidance surrounding association-hosted events and program sponsorships,
which optimize member experience, utility, value, inclusion, recognition, participation, and social
interaction. Assure that membership experience, and customer service delivered byAOL events and
staff results in high member satisfaction and voluntary participation. Focus events include:
convention, board meeting events, awards program, and Log A Load For Kids fundraising.

POLICY & POLITICAL ACTION COIVIMITTEE Purpose: Advance the association's effective policymaking advocacy voice through focused efforts of combined communication, political action, and lobbying. Raise and dispense funds to provide financial support to candidates in state and federal office, who are supportive of AOL purposes in government affairs surrounding forest small business values and positions.

OREGON PROFESSIONAL LOGGER (OPL) COMMITTEE Purpose: Administer the Oregon Professional Logger qualification, a credential providing an SFI approved continuing education standard and coursework for loggers and forest operators. Continuing education focus is on safety, business, forest practices and sustainable forestry.
