OPL Qualification and Training
Associated Oregon Loggers believes professional education is essential to protecting and advancing the timber harvesting profession. We work with experts to provide our members access to a variety of informative seminars on topics such as risk management, government regulations, industry best practices and much more.

Throughout history, the woodcutter has long been portrayed as the “steward of the forest”. Today, the logger still plays a key role in forest stewardship. The Oregon Professional Logging qualification was created to help revitalize this stewardship ethic, and also foster the professional growth and empowerment of loggers and forest contractors through education.

Associated Oregon Loggers schedules and puts on Oregon Professional Logger (OPL) qualifying classes throughout the year. Associated Oregon Loggers reviews and offers OPL continuing education credits given at the Conferences and other partner events which are relevant to the industry and the work our members do.

Classes are offered throughout the year and around the state so OPL qualification can be achieved around the peak logging season. Follow the link to a list of classes that have been given recently, or will be given in the future once they are known.
