News and Events

The work of the forest sector is critical to our economy and way of life. Some of these workers include but are not limited to builders, truckers, mill workers and loggers.  They have risky jobs under normal circumstances and come to work every day to ensure our families and communities have the products we need to live our lives.

Public Relations

AOL engages the public through many projects throughout the year as well with an aim at increasing public understanding about forestry and the forest contracting sector in Oregon. Our public relations projects focus on developing additional social license to operate while increasing the perceived professionalism of forest operators that we all know is the standard, not the acception.

To engage the public, AOL has a social media and online presence while also appearing in local newspapers articles, radio ads, sports sponsorships and more. We maintain good relationships with reporters and partners to ensure we are called upon as the premier experts on forest contracting and workforce in the state.

AOL is often asked to speak at events about current issues affecting the forest contracting sector and solutions that may help. Our staff are always willing to make these appearances while also being active participants on many committees of partner organizations with similar missions.

Deliverables

  • Communications Committee that directs internal and external communication projects
  • AOL external website updates and maintenance
  • Social media presence - Facebook, Instagram, YouTube and LinkedIn
  • Speaking engagements at group meetings, conferences and other events of outside organizations
  • Support local educational events which further forest contractor goals
