Collaborative Programs
Many Hands Make for Light Lifting
AOL is committed to working with other organizations to support working for workforce development efforts in partnership with others who are working to advance these efforts. We have a number of partners who work in Workforce Development. AOL is proud to work with public, private, educational and non-profit many other programs as we work to connect workers - current and future - with employers.
Partners and Resources
OSU Extension
AOL is partnering with OSU Extension foresters on a number of exciting things to support advancing Forest careers. One example is with OSU Extension forester Lauren Grand to support an immersive experience game delivered by Oculus. STEM Hubs & Workforce Boards
One innovative way to engage with CTE programming around the state is by working with regional STEM Hubs. AOL is engaging with several regional STEM Hubs to connect learners across many ages and regions with a better understanding of what opportunities there are in the forest. Workforce Development Boards (WDB) regionally support workforce programs around the state. Lane County and Rogue Valley both highlight Natural Resources as a sector strategy and appreciate engaging with local employers. Youth Programs are often funded through WBDs and are part of a solution we want to utilize to expand our future workforce. Workforce Videos
AOL is making and collaborating to make informative videos about forest occupations. Coalitions & Collaboratives
AOL Workforce Program is engaged with external organizations who are doing workforce development activities around the state - including Baker Resources Coalition and Clatsop and Tillamook Working Lands Collaboratives. Growing Opportunities
AOL is continuing to work with partners and organizations to explore and develop programming to support and innovate in workforce development. We are exploring resources through grants and partnerships.
