AOL is the Oregon sponsor the the national Log A Load For Kids (LAL) program which helps the forest contactor community to participate in fundraising for the Children's Miracle Network (CMN)campaign. Oregon LAL raises funds for charitable donation to three local CMN children's hospitals: AOL members have raised and donated a total of:
 AOL supports LAL by covering all fundraising administrative costs, so every dollar donated goes directly to help children in need of medical care. Loggers, forest owners, mills, and allied harvest businesses in Oregon join together to support a most worthwhile cause - medical care for our children. Key Information
AOL Hosts Annual LAL Golf Tournament Fundraiser
The LAL Golf Tournament, hosted annually in June, at various course locations around Oregon, team registrations, and through purchase of raffle tickets and donated items. All funds raised go to the three CMN hospitals in Oregon; AOL cover all administrative costs. Each year at AOL's annual convention in January, the Log A Load for Kids Fundraiser program includes fun activities, silent auction, dessert auction, and a live auction. Log A Load for Kids is an annual campaign which began in 1988 when loggers and others in the forest products community donated the value of a load of logs to their local CMN hospital. Today, Log A Load is a leader in CMN Hospitals’ fundraising, raising more than $2 million annually through golf tournaments, fishing events, dinners, truck loads of log donations and other events. More than 10 million kids enter a children’s hospital like OHSU Doernbecher Children's Hospital across North America every year. To provide the best care for kids, children’s hospitals rely on donations and community support, as Medicaid and insurance programs do not fully cover the cost of care. Since 1983, Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals has helped fill those funding gaps by raising more than $7 billion, most of it $1 at a time through Miracle Balloon icon campaigns.
