Working Lands and Logger Days

The Logger Career Day Road show is designed to educate and inform students and educators about Forest industry jobs, as a critical piece of engaging for future workforce.  The target audience for Logger Days is Oregon's 4th and 5th grade students, who are already learning about Oregon’s natural resources in their standard school curriculum, but many schools are missing information on Forests.
 
In October and November, AOL Workforce Development Manager will be presenting with many valued partners to over 1000 students (between the 2 presentations). If you are not familiar with the Logger Days – check out the AOL website:

On October 27th we will be headed to Curry Co. and present to Brooking, Gold Beach and Port Orford 4th and 5th graders in collaboration with ODF, USFS, MANY local Logging companies and partners.  This event will be held at the Curry County Fairgrounds Event Center in Gold Beach and is sponsored by NW Community Credit Union and Curry Co. Economic Development. 

On November 9th, we will be presenting to 4 Tillamook CO. High schools at the Tillamook County Fairgrounds and are very excited to partner with Tillamook WORKS Tillamook Works and the Tillamook Working Lands and Waters Cooperative Tillamook Working Lands and Waters Cooperative)
