Oregon SBDC is a well-established partnership with 17 Oregon community colleges, two universities, US Small Business Administration, and Oregon Business Development Department.  Launched in 1983, Oregon SBDC is part of America’s SBDC national network.

Small Business Ombudsman
Office of Small Business Assistance (OSBA) is a state agency that supports Oregon’s small businesses.  Serving businesses and nonprofits with 100 or fewer employees, the OSBA engages with small business owners, listens to their concerns, and connects them with helpful appropriate resources.  Last year, the OSBA helped 3,265 entrepreneurs navigate Oregon government regulations and resolve problems through email, phone, and in-person.

You can explore the 2022 annual report on small businesses and their performance at the link below. It is promising that the number of small businesses start-ups currently outpaces the number being closed -- despite recent challenges from rising costs, labor shortage and escalating regulation.
