Small Business Development The Oregon Small Business Development Center Network (SBDC) provides no-cost confidential advising, training, online courses, and resources for small businesses throughout our state. SBDC is a great resource for your logging and forest operations business— to build more skills, and gain continuing education (OPL-CE credit) that improves your company.
SBDC’s 20 conveniently-located Oregon Centers and 44 locations assist business people like you in every aspect of business development and management. Oregon’s SBDCs deliver services to anyone who owns or operates a business or is planning to start-up. It works with businesses in every industry and at every stage of growth, from 1-500 employees.
Oregon SBDC is a well-established partnership with 17 Oregon community colleges, two universities, US Small Business Administration, and Oregon Business Development Department. Launched in 1983, Oregon SBDC is part of America’s SBDC national network. Small Business Ombudsman Office of Small Business Assistance (OSBA) is a state agency that supports Oregon’s small businesses. Serving businesses and nonprofits with 100 or fewer employees, the OSBA engages with small business owners, listens to their concerns, and connects them with helpful appropriate resources. Last year, the OSBA helped 3,265 entrepreneurs navigate Oregon government regulations and resolve problems through email, phone, and in-person.
