Are you planning on signing-up equipment or resources to fight fire with ODF and/or its partners, such as DFPA or CFPA? This is an important reminder for you to talk with your local fire protection district office about the Incident Resource Agreement (IRA). IRA resources are used primarily on ODF and ODF/federal jurisdiction wildfire incidents in Oregon. Occasionally these resources may be requested for federal incidents in Oregon and neighboring states.
Contract resources on active USFS - VIPR agreements cannot be listed on ODF IRAs simultaneously. ODF and USFS regional cooperative partnership policies allow for the use of VIPR resources on ODF protected lands. This integration is critical to the success of keeping fires small through safe and aggressive initial attack and supporting extended attack and long duration campaign fires.
IRA applications are being accepted through July 2023. Additional applications may be accepted after July, contingent upon fire activity and resource needs on lands protected by ODF.
