There are many types of roads throughout the world and every road has certain rules and regulations. Whether it’s a highway, a parkway, an avenue, a country road, or a dirt road, most are not as dangerous as a logging road!
Most logging roads are quiet and simple, most of the time (weather pending), and for the most part they are all mostly one-way with turnouts and wide spots.
I have noticed that most labor-intensive crews are not using their radios as often as they should. In some cases, the vans (crummies) don’t even have radios! So, I thought I would at least give them a shout-out and share some simple safety procedures for communication on logging roads.
