Roseboro Co in Springfield OR is expanding production capacity. The unprofitable stud mill was idled in February this year. On the same site, Roseboro will invest over $100 million in expanding the glulam business. Links to articles on Roseboro below.

 

Timberlab purchased the former Interfor Philomath sawmill facility to support its growing cross-laminated timber business, as well as Timberlab plans to build its new cross-laminated timber plant in Millersburg. Link to full story below.

 

Both of these announcements show a movement to add additional higher-value forest products to Oregon’s forest sector, to diversify the product mix beyond only commodity-based wood.
